Cropping faces last day project

For our very las project we took photos of one another and cropped them together on picnik.

Rule of Thirds

For this photo project we used a new technique.  The idea of the project was to use a grid with three lines going horizontally accross and vertically down.  The grid was for the placement of the subject of the picture were taking.  We would place our subject in the crossing points in the corner most desired making sure it was in the crossing point.  In these photos that is what was trying to be accomplished.

Final Post High School

 Waldorf high school (freshman year) was when volleyball became more of a serious hobby, and when it became more competitive with rival schools and clubs.  The photo of our main rival Bay school was  who we had to beat.  the photo of the "roach coach" was important for me to include because it was out front of our school everyday because we did not have off campus, most of my lunchtime memories of my first year of high school are of loitering in the school parking lot.  When i switched schools there were many things that changed.  the club volleyball team changed from sf juniors to slainte volleyball, and the level of competition changed as well.  On the weekends hanging out at the beach had become a big thing during this time witch was why i included the bon fire at the beach.  It was a time that i would use to catch up with my friends from my old school.  The ride splash mountain is just to show my favorite ride in Disney land.

Junior High School

For this time in my life I focused on the an email because it was the first time that I was allowed get one it was a big deal.  Avril Lavigne was what me and all my classmates would listen to.  whn i was in junoir high school my class took a trip to a live power farm alomost every year, that time always left strong memories

1st through 5th grade

For this post I included the media because it was the main topic of most of our school conversations.  My favorite movie that i always remember watching with my family would be escape to witch mountain.  everyday at school we would play handball and four square, when i think back to my childhood that is what i remember doing with my time at school.  Dumbo was my favorite ride in Disney land at this age, and every girl had had a crush on Jessie McCartney  so he had to be included.

Childhood

  For this project we searched online for old photos of places that we remember going as a young child.  We took close up images of the photos on the screen with the camera set on macro mode in order to get the clearest image possible.  the images that we looked for were the most prominent memories that we could think of.  We took these photos with the lights tuned down and in black and white so as not to get a glare on the finished image.

for these photos we worked with depth again, we made the camera focus on things that were close and blur out the rest.

Stephanie - Stephanie as a photographer really transforms her photos into something of her own.  In every one there is always a vision that she follows where ever it takes her.  when Stephanie has a photo project that she is on i have noticed form working next to her that she will edit it until she gets it to be perfect.  Even when working with models Stephanie she will always get the perfect shot.

Sacha - Sacha's photos are always fun to look at.  When the barbie series came out I could never wait i always loved looking at them.  Sacha's photos always seem like they go with the flow, no stress, but you can tell that there is a lot of work and effort put into the finished product.  Sacha's photos always have a little sparkle in them that show color and care.

Reid - Reid's photos are always interesting, they not only make you laugh at times but can also scare you quit a lot! Reid is always working hard on his photos, sitting next to him i always see him hard at work on iphoto to get the best and scariest results.  All of Reid's photos are colorful and you can always tell by his post that they are his because of his unique style

Minsoo -  Minsoo's photos are always so pristine and clean looking to me.  the photos of the dishes that he made show the he can mix two things that he loves doing.  It can be difficult for people at times to manage the multiple things that they like doing but this works so great!  also the designs that Minsoo has in his photos are always interesting and thoughtful.

Carly -
Carly's photos always look beautiful i love the way that in the collages they match so well (the one with the sun flowers) the photos that Carly take have a nice flow to them.  Carly has a keen eye for taking photos and putting them together in collages.

Jessica -  The photos that Jessica takes and edits to me look like they have been worked on a lot until they look perfect and flowing, they are beautiful! Jessica has a nice eye for seeing the little things that are beautiful and interesting.
Carlos -
Carlos takes photos that i feel are very hard to catch on film.  Some are in the moment of strangers witch i find very interesting even though early on there were many photos in black and white there is still something about them that causes them to really pop off the screen!

Madeleine -  Maddy's photos i find are always fun to look at and interesting to read.  i like how she mixed the text with the photos it really shows how she put her own pizazz into them! i also really enjoy the other photos she took they are plain but i cant take my eyes off the page.
